Vic: Alleged killer appears in court
MELBOURNE, Dec 10 AAP - A man accused of fatally shooting a 32-year-old woman in western
Victoria appeared briefly in Melbourne Magistrates Court today.
John William Sypott, 54, of Glenelg Highway, Coleraine, is accused of shooting Frances
Rhook in the chest last Friday in Hamilton.
She was rushed to hospital by ambulance after police were called to the house about
5.30pm (AEDT).
Ms Rhook died overnight after late-night surgery for chest injuries.
Sypott, who is facing a charge of murder, made no application for bail and was remanded
in custody to appear in the same court on April 24 next year.
