Tunisia - Tunisie Telecom launch 'VSAT' Internet & data access services via satellite.

The incumbent telecommunications operator of Tunisia, Tunisie Telecom, announced the launch of 'VSAT', its new Internet access and data transmission services delivered via satellite. 'VSAT' is targeted at corporate subscribers, particularly businesses situated in remote regions or multi-site companies. The service provides access to the Internet via satellite at a speed of up to 256 kbit/s, and two-way access to the company's data network at a speed that may reach 128 kbit/s. Connection charges to the service are TND 600 and TND 2,000 for Internet and data access respectively. The monthly rental charges of 'VSAT' are TND 150 for Internet and TND 200 for data access.
