NSW: Man bashed and stabbed in early morning attack

SYDNEY, Dec 30 AAP - A man has been bashed and stabbed in the neck during a robbery in Sydney.

The 28-year-old man was walking to his home in Blackfriars Road, Chippendale shortly
before 5am (AEDT) when he was allegedly set upon by three men.

He was bashed and had his wallet stolen, police said.

While he was on the ground he was kicked and stabbed in the neck.

The man contacted police and was treated for minor injuries before being released from
Royal Prince Alfred Hospital.

The three men, described as being of Aboriginal appearance, were last seen in a white
Toyota Camry.
